In the Netherlands, more than a million people live below the poverty threshold and 1 in 8 children go to school hungry. Voedselbank Amsterdam supports approximately 1,300 families in Amsterdam. We help these people by temporarily providing them with food packages. To do this, we work together with companies, institutions, municipalities and private individuals. In this way we ensure that poverty is fought, food surpluses disappear and a smaller burden is placed on the environment.
