Female Cancer Foundation
A woman dies of cervical cancer every two minutes due to late diagnosis. This takes 300,000 lives every year, 85% of them in developing countries. Young mothers are often irreplaceable for their children and family income. They have insufficient access to medical care. Prevention can be done simply by screening women. Cervical cancer develops slowly, detection and treatment are cheap and simple. If diagnosed and treated in early stage, cervical cancer can be prevented and completely cured. We want to offer this to as many women as possible.

Impact fact: Did you know that, for 10 euros, a trained local team of doctors, nurses or midwives can offer the "See and Treat" method? Women are locally screened for cervical cancer and if necessary treated immediately. Both screening and treatment do not affect the fertility of the women. With a positive screening, a life is saved.
