Extraverted day

March 11 2024

Even as an introvert, you sometimes have a delightful extraverted day. Friday, International Women's Day, was one of those days!

The day started well with a presentation for the Interbank Consultation (a kind of umbrella organization of bank workers' unions). A fantastic audience, with insightful questions about Payroll Giving and infectious enthusiasm, made me reluctant to finish. Thank you for the invitation, Matthijs Kneepkens!

Followed by lunch with the always engaged Ignaz Anderson, discussing the inspiring work of the Donor Impact Invest Fund. A unique charity that invests in impact organizations, with all profits reinvested in new impact organizations. Impact to the power of 2!

Finally, a cool event in celebration of International Women's Day, at my old stomping ground, Boston Consulting Group (BCG). It was wonderful to share the stage with these 3 inspiring ladies, Suze Gehem, Marlot Meddens, and Tessa van Swieten. Even better that we could speak openly and without pretense about female entrepreneurship and the opportunities it presents!

As the cherry on top, a pleasant drink with power ladies and former colleagues Bente Jorritsma, Silvia de Vaan, and Nikki Speklé.

It’s sometimes a misconception that introverted people do not enjoy social gatherings or are less social. They can be just as social as extraverted individuals. It's just that their way of recharging is often different.

To everyone who played a role in my delightful extraverted day on Friday, thank you! You made my day.
