Tens of thousands of people were hit by a strong earthquake and multiple aftershocks in Türkiye and Syria on Monday. Many people are scared and have to spend the night outside in the freezing cold due to the risk of collapse.

Stichting Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties are joining forces and calling on the whole of the Netherlands to take action for the victims of this humanitarian disaster to provide assistance in search and rescue operations and try to get as many people out from under the rubble as possible. As well as providing first aid, staff ambulances, and transport to the hospital. Furthermore, they ensure that people can donate blood that they transport to the disaster area and distribute blankets, tents, food and meals.
