Hack your taxes: give more to charity at no extra cost!

Let’s hack the system!
€1 billion cut from Development Cooperation. Unbelievable! But did you know that you can partly decide where your tax money goes?
Should refugees or children living in extreme poverty just go without? What was this government thinking? We’re among the wealthiest 3% in the world. Where is the compassion?
But here’s the good news: you can decide to allocate part of your tax money to development cooperation yourself!
How? By setting up donations and declaring them on your income tax return.
Example: Suppose you currently donate €30 per month to charities without getting anything in return. If you enter into a periodic donation agreement for five years, you can donate €48 while it still only costs you €30. Why? Because you’ll get €18 back from the tax office. This way, you decide where part of your tax money goes.
Most people have been supporting certain charities for years. By being smart about it, you can give more with the same amount of money!
If this sounds complicated, it can be done easily through PayrollGiving. This allows you to support charities directly from your salary, also with tax benefits.
This way, we help those who need it most and send a clear message that we DO value compassion.
