Nominated for the Smart Sustainable Sisley Award!
October 10 2024
Nominated for the Smart Sustainable Sisley Award! Very exciting, and I’ve had the chance to meet some truly inspiring entrepreneurs through it! Check it out.
These entrepreneurs are committed to a greener, more livable world and are an inspiration in the field of sustainability, according to Marie Claire. I couldn’t agree more! I’d love to introduce them to you.
Denise Collignon, Silke Tijkotte, and Jennifer Fikse-Laarman, who together founded Wilderful. It’s a flower delivery service offering eco-friendly, locally-grown seasonal flowers—a fantastic alternative to the often polluting flower industry.
Nynke Visser of Innivity, who brings people out of their individual bubbles to work together. Whether it's government, business, or advocacy groups, collaborating leads to better sustainable solutions than staying in isolated silos.
Sacha Göddeke-Mulder, Director of Sustainable Business at NS, passionately pursuing all aspects of social responsibility and sustainability, from renewable energy and native plants at stations to employing people with refugee backgrounds.
Marthe de Groot of Marie Marie, who recognized the value of her grandmother’s crochet club for both connecting crocheters and offering sustainable consumers beautiful, unique crocheted bags.
It’s fantastic to be listed alongside them with The Social Handshake. Besides our own efforts to be sustainable, our LoonGift platform focuses on how people can contribute to a sustainable and social world by donating directly from their salary, with tax benefits.
The idea that living as sustainably as possible means it's better not to exist at all—since then you’d have no negative impact—I find rather depressing. That’s why I try to make a positive contribution instead. And donating is, in many cases, the most effective thing you can do."
Want to know more about these amazing entrepreneurs? Check out this link. (Dutch article). You can also vote there, by the way. But honestly, I already feel thrilled to be nominated. Thank you, Sisley and Marie Claire! And, of course, thanks to Jill Waas and Nine IJff for the interview and photos.
Feel free to share which entrepreneurs you think should be on this list next year!
